Sportsball Merge

Sportsball Merge is a merge-puzzle game where you combine matching sports balls to create higher-tier balls and score points. Drop two baseballs together and they merge into a football; two footballs merge into a basketball, and so on up the tier chain. The board fills as you play, and the game ends when balls stack past the top line.

It's the Suika-style merge formula applied to sports equipment. You drop balls from the top, they fall and settle via physics, and matching pairs that touch merge into the next tier. Strategy involves creating chain merges - set up the board so a merge triggers another merge, cascading up the tiers for bonus score.

The physics adds unpredictability. Balls roll, bounce, and settle in ways you can't fully control, so setting up merges requires planning for where balls will end up, not just where you drop them. A clean merge chain is satisfying when it works and frustrating when the physics disrupts it.

Higher-tier balls are worth exponentially more, so the scoring rewards pushing up the chain rather than stacking low tiers. The merge chain - building toward the rare top-tier ball - is the long-term goal alongside per-game score.
